REGGIO EMILIA installs control station in Marco Biagi Park

It corresponds to one of the four green areas participating in the pilot action "Climate-friendly parks" of the LIFE CityAdaP3 project.




The monitoring station detects the main environmental and climatic parameters (temperature, air humidity and rainfall) in order to assess the effects of afforestation interventions on the microclimate, i.e. the insertion of microforests, hedges, tree rows and polyphyte meadows.


The monitoring station is managed, on behalf of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, by the Consorzio di Bonifica dell'Emilia Centrale. The collected data can be consulted in real time on a dedicated web platform, where it is also possible to view historical series and download the data in open data format.
